Intrepid booze reporter Laura McKnight takes note of our win at the American Craft Distiller’s Association spirits competition and gains further insight from an ACDA spokesperson.

“The quality of spirits we received for our judges to evaluate this year were universally high and Euphrosine No. 9 stood out as an excellent spirit,” wrote Matthew Sharpe, judging coordinator for the American Craft Distiller’s Association, in an email to NOLA.com.

Atelier Vie on My New Orleans – Local Distilleries You Should Know

Tim McNally provides some kind coverage in his roundup of local distilleries in his Happy Hour column.

“Atelier Vie is located in the most unlikely location of all the distillers, under the Broad Street Overpass, just to the river side of the I-10.” Tim was too genteel to mention it, but the railroad tracks are on the other side of our facility; and the prison is just down the road from our heavy industrial location.

Media Attention for Atelier Vie in The New Orleans Advocate and “Louisiana Kitchen & Culture” Magazine

Today we bring you news of two recent mentions in the media. “Craft distillers offer local touch to high-end sipping” by Kathy Finn appeared last Sunday (01/12/2014) in The New Orleans Advocate. The story focused on the nationwide growth of craft distilling and gave special attention to Louisiana producers, and Atelier Vie in particular. The story also included shots of Riz, our Louisiana Rice Whiskey; both in the bottle and coming off the still, as shown in the image below.

The story in Louisiana Kitchen & Culture, “The Green Fairy & The Jolly Red Elf,” by Intoxicologist Bill deTurk, focused on absinthe, with particular attention to our Toulouse Red, Absinthe Rouge; and Toulouse Green, Absinthe Verte. The story also included our recipe for the Bayou Root, a delicious combination of Absinthe and Root Beer.

The stories aren’t available online at the present time, so we’ve included PDF links to images of the stories below, provided by intrepid fans of Atelier Vie.
